Noun
Kalopsia (uncountable)
The delusion of things being more beautiful than they are.
Kalopsia was founded by Michal Pursa, Almira Karimova and Alexander Khan Rajah to build a network for artists of all practices to be able to display, sell, and exchange art with other artists, buyers, and collectors. Each planned exhibition will, as its namesake, delve into a theme of beauty and aesthetics exploring both its limitations and impurity.
Ranging from expressions of corrupted or tainted appearances to the more conceptual ideas of value in aesthetics and the degradation within the art industry and practices.
Our goal is to elucidate the parodies, ironies, and farce of beauty within the arts world through a combined effort of curating works of art that suit our themes, from new artists, looking to become more established or are active in the community already.
